The Solidarity Fund for the Preservation of the Homeland (FSSP) invested 58.8 billion FCFA over three years to strengthen the defense and security forces against terrorism in Niger, accounting for 82.6% of total resources mobilized. The FSSP president, Mme Réki Moussa Hassane Djermakoye, presented this report alongside the management committee. Since General Tiani came to power, Niger has increased military spending, recruiting 25,000 personnel in one year and spending over 150 billion FCFA on equipment, mainly from Turkey, including armed drones, light aircraft, and armored vehicles.
