Niger: A former minister and two associates of Bazoum listed in the antiterrorism file FPGE

Nigerien authorities have listed former Prime Minister Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou and two associates of former President Mohamed Bazoum, Aminata Takoubakoye Boureima and Djibo Yaya, in the National File of Persons or Groups Linked to a Terrorist Entity (FPGE). This decision, notified on April 9, 2026, leads to restrictive measures such as asset freezing and travel bans. Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou is also facing charges of treason and conspiracy against state security.
