Niger: The National Guard Strengthens Its Ranks with 1,317 Recruits Against 'Transnational Threats'

On September 8, 2026, a contingent of 1,317 new recruits joined the National Guard of Niger after eight months of training. This group includes 1,243 national guards, with 63 women, and was presented by Colonel-major Ahmed Sidien.
