Niger: Tiani reassures Tebboune and states that the situation is 'totally under control'

Abdourahamane Tiani informed Abdelmadjid Tebboune that the situation in Niger was under control following a mutiny that occurred on the night of August 28 to 29. Tebboune congratulated Tiani for his efforts in thwarting a destabilization attempt. Loyalist forces regained control after attacks on sensitive sites in Niamey, and several military personnel were arrested. The two presidents also discussed joint projects and cooperation between Algeria and Niger.
