Nigeria, 163 countries to back UN resolution for larger Africa on world map

Nigeria has joined 163 other countries to support a UN resolution aimed at achieving fairer cartographic representation of Africa. The resolution, adopted by 164 votes to one, calls for correcting the geographical representation of Africa, which is often underestimated on traditional maps. Togolese Foreign Minister Robert Dussey emphasized the importance of maps in understanding the world and advocated for the use of more accurate projections.
