Nigeria: a methamphetamine laboratory linked to a Mexican cartel dismantled

In Nigeria, the drug enforcement agency arrested two men suspected of operating a methamphetamine laboratory in Obeagu, Enugu State, with significant quantities of chemical precursors found at the site. Their trial will continue on October 21, while their Mexican accomplice is on the run. This is the fourth large-scale laboratory seizure since May, and authorities fear the establishment of Latin American cartels producing methamphetamine for export. West Africa is also a transit hub for cocaine from South America to Europe.
