Nigeria: About thirty fishermen and woodcutters killed by jihadists in the northeast

Jihadists from Boko Haram killed 33 fishermen and woodcutters in two separate attacks in Borno State, northeastern Nigeria. The attacks occurred in the Mafa district and Dikwa, where 27 fishermen and six woodcutters were shot dead. In response to the escalating violence, the Nigerian army is strengthening its military cooperation with the United States, having recently conducted joint strikes that eliminated 175 jihadists.
