Nigeria: Army Receives Five Helicopters Days After American Delivery

Five helicopters, including three AW-109 Trekker and two H-125, were added to the Nigerian Air Force fleet, with a reception in Lagos on September 15, 2026. This delivery follows an American military equipment shipment on September 10, enhancing security cooperation between Nigeria and its Western partners. The Nigerian government has acquired a total of ten AW-109, with seven more expected by the end of 2026, as part of a partnership with Leonardo Helicopters.
