Nigeria: Boko Haram 'Judge' Denies Reported Ceasefire Deal With Nigerian Govt

Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati Wal Jihad (JAS), known as Boko Haram, has denied reports of a ceasefire deal with the Nigerian government. In a video, the group's Sharia judge, Mallam Abdulrahman, called the claims a lie while stating that the group is open to reconciliation. However, sources indicated that a small Boko Haram team may have agreed to a government request without the group's leadership's approval.
