Nigeria Democracy Day: protesters denounce insecurity and high cost of living

On Friday, hundreds of protesters gathered in Lagos for Democracy Day, denouncing the rising cost of living and deteriorating security. They called on the government to address economic hardship, unemployment, and the failure of the democratic system. Democracy Day commemorates the June 12, 1993 presidential election won by Moshood Abiola.
