Nigeria evacuates Ebola patient to Switzerland

Nigeria evacuated a 42-year-old Swiss national with Ebola to Switzerland after she travelled to Uganda with her husband. The only case recorded in Nigeria so far, she left Abuja on Monday after receiving care from Nigerian health services; her condition has significantly improved and she is stable. Authorities have identified at least 53 contacts and are checking on their health. The outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is caused by the Bundibugyo strain and has killed more than 4,600 people there.
