'Nigeria is not the only one' - Gov Sule defends Tinubu’s UNGA absence

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule stated that President Bola Tinubu is not the only world leader absent from the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York. He emphasized Nigeria's strong diplomatic presence, with Vice President Kashim Shettima leading the delegation and expected to deliver the national statement. Sule noted that many countries are represented by vice presidents or ministers, and Nigeria continues to pursue UN Security Council reforms through other platforms. He also revealed that Shettima received over 30 requests for bilateral meetings with foreign leaders, indicating Nigeria's ongoing international engagement despite Tinubu's absence.
