Nigeria's Falconets advanced to the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after defeating England 3-0. Tosin Rafiu opened the scoring in the eighth minute, followed by Seimeyeha Janet Akekoromowei two minutes into the second half. Mary Mamudu completed the scoring in the 73rd minute, while captain Christiana Uzoma saved a penalty to maintain Nigeria's lead.
