Nigerian footballer Quadri Liameed discharged from hospital after head kick in Spain

Nigerian midfielder Quadri Liameed, 24, was discharged from hospital after tests ruled out serious injury following a head kick during Sabadell’s match against Albacete at the Carlos Belmonte Stadium. He lost consciousness in the 43rd minute after being struck by José Corpas, but later regained consciousness and was taken for medical examinations. Sabadell said Liameed received medical clearance shortly after midnight and returned to Sabadell by car with a club medical staff member. He is expected to follow a specialised training programme for the next few days before fully rejoining his teammates.
