Nigerian govt bans okada, keke, truck, others on Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway

The Federal Government of Nigeria has banned illegal occupation, truck parking, unauthorized U-turns, hawking, animal grazing, and the use of motorcycles and tricycles on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. Engr Olufemi Dare, the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, announced these measures to enhance safety and order on the newly opened road. Persistent infractions, including articulated vehicles parking and the emergence of shanties, prompted this decision. Enforcement actions will be taken against those who violate these new regulations.
