On June 3, suspected Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) and Boko Haram terrorists attacked a forward operating base in Gajigana, Nganzai Local Government Area, Borno State. Nigerian troops repelled the attack, neutralizing one terrorist and recovering a motorcycle and ammunition. Authorities have intensified air and ground patrols across key flashpoints in the North-East, including routes around Maiduguri and Alau Dam.
