Nigeria's economy recorded a growth of 4.43% in the second quarter of 2026, surpassing the 4.23% recorded in the previous year. The real GDP growth for the first half of 2026 stands at 4.16%, compared to 3.68% during the same period in 2025. The Ministry of Finance attributed this performance to stronger activity across productive sectors and greater stability in the foreign exchange market, with the naira appreciating by over 12% between the first halves of 2025 and 2026.
