Nigeria's economy grew by 4.4 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, up from 4.2 percent recorded in the same period of 2025, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The growth was driven by improved performances in both the oil and non-oil sectors, with the oil sector expanding by 7.3 percent and the non-oil sector growing by 4.3 percent during the same period.
