Nigeria's merchandise trade surplus surged by 66.8% quarter-on-quarter to N12.59 trillion in Q2 2026, up from N7.55 trillion in Q1. Exports jumped 27.64% to N27.02 trillion, while imports rose only 5.91%. Crude oil remained the largest export, valued at N12.91 trillion, accounting for 47.79% of total exports.
