Nine dead after consuming a presumed toxic product in Visiki, North Kivu

Nine people have died and around forty others are in critical condition after consuming a presumed toxic product during a funeral in Visiki, North Kivu. The local civil society is calling for the evacuation of patients to better-equipped health facilities and is requesting increased support from the authorities. Investigations have been launched to determine the origin of the product and the circumstances of this poisoning.
