Nine dead after consuming presumed toxic product during a wake in Visiki, North Kivu

Nine people have died and around forty others are in critical condition after consuming a presumed toxic product during a wake in Visiki, North Kivu. The local civil society is calling for the evacuation of patients to better-equipped health facilities and urges authorities to strengthen medical support. Investigations have been launched to determine the origin of the consumed product.
