Nkamouna: ARM aims to replace Geovic's $617 million scheme with a modular start at $85 million

American Renaissance Minerals (ARM) plans to start mining the Nkamouna cobalt-nickel-manganese project in eastern Cameroon with a modular unit costing around $85 million, aiming for initial production within 18 months of permit approval. This approach differs from Geovic's 2011 feasibility study, which estimated a $617.2 million investment for a full integrated project. ARM intends to begin with a dense medium separation unit with a capacity of 150 tons per hour, focusing funding solely on this first phase.
