NLC: Increase minimum wage now - Atiku tells Tinubu - Daily Post Nigeria

ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar called on President Bola Tinubu to increase the minimum wage, backing organized labor’s demand for a substantial raise. He criticized Tinubu for presiding over an economic squeeze where workers are paid on paper but live on less, especially after the removal of fuel subsidies caused prices to soar. Atiku highlighted that the current minimum wage of 70,000 Naira is insufficient to cover basic expenses like fuel, rent, and food, condemning the government's handling of the cost-of-living crisis.
