NMDPRA and EFCC raid illegal Chinese-run refinery in Ogun State

The NMDPRA and EFCC raided an illegal refinery spanning more than three hectares in Ogere-Remo, Ogun State, on Wednesday after receiving a tip. NMDPRA state coordinator Atilola Akinyemi said the unlicensed operation could produce fuel that poses risks to engines. The EFCC said the refinery appeared to have operated for years and vowed to bring its suspected owners, who are based in China, back to Nigeria to face questioning.
