Pastor Foluke Adeboye urged parents, churches, governments and other stakeholders to take greater responsibility for children’s upbringing, saying Nigeria’s future depends on how young people are nurtured. Speaking at the annual Christ The Redeemer’s School Management summit at Redemption City, she called on parents to teach Christian values, work with teachers and discipline their children. She urged the government to provide adequate school facilities, particularly in rural areas where some pupils lack chairs. Former Education Minister Oby Ezekwesili said professionals who ignore society’s challenges cannot contribute meaningfully to its transformation.
