‘No more excuses, heads will roll' - Nigerian Govt warns non-performing MDAs

The Nigerian federal government has issued a stern warning to Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) for poor performance. Princess Zahrah Audu, DG of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, emphasized that institutions must demonstrate accountability and deliver measurable results in line with President Bola Tinubu’s zero-tolerance policy. An assessment showed that 16 MDAs fully implemented reforms, but recent mystery shopping revealed a decline in responsiveness after active monitoring ended. She stressed that ongoing performance tracking and compliance measures are essential to ensure accountability and reform adherence.
