No Nigerian killed in South Africa protest – FG

The Nigerian federal government stated that no Nigerian was killed and no Nigerian-owned property was destroyed during recent anti-foreigner protests in South Africa. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, noted that two Nigerians died in incidents unrelated to the protests. The Nigerian government has intensified diplomatic engagement with South Africa and is arranging voluntary repatriation for Nigerians wishing to return home.
