North Kivu: Nearly 50,000 students face TENASOSP amid Ebola and insecurity

The TENASOSP exams began on June 11, 2026 in North Kivu, with 49,584 students including 23,193 girls taking part in 146 centers. The Ebola epidemic and persistent insecurity complicate access to exams, especially for students stranded in Rwanda due to border closures. To prevent a lost academic year, two exam centers were opened in Rwanda, at the International School of Gisenyi and the Consular School of the DRC in Kigali, supervised by national education inspectors.
