North Kivu: two first Ebola patients discharged from Lubero General Referral Hospital

Two Ebola survivors, a member of the FARDC military and a young woman, were discharged on September 29 from Lubero General Referral Hospital in North Kivu. Colonel Kiwewa Mitela Alain urged the population to seek medical attention promptly at the first signs of illness to improve recovery chances. Since August 2, 2026, the health zone has reported 22 cases, including 17 deaths, 2 recoveries, and 3 active cases.
