Norway’s new king pays tribute to his late father as the country mourns

Norway's new monarch, King Haakon VIII, paid tribute to his late father, King Harald, during his first speech as king, aired live on television. King Harald passed away at the age of 89 after 35 years on the throne, suffering from haemolytic anaemia. Tens of thousands gathered outside the royal palace in Oslo to pay their respects, while the government declared a national mourning period.
