NPFL Acknowledges Bendel Insurance Protest over Rangers Clash

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has acknowledged Bendel Insurance’s protest over Rangers’ controversial goal in their rescheduled matchday 9 fixture. Bendel Insurance says the winning goal was scored while the crossbar was displaced and play should have been stopped. After reviewing video evidence, the NPFL agreed with the club’s grievance but referred the matter to the Nigeria Football Federation Referees Appointment Committee for review. The committee is expected to communicate its decision to the NPFL.
