NPFL: NFF demands fair officiating from referees

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has warned referees against judgment errors during the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). A memo signed by Mohammed Ameenu of the NFF Refereeing Development Committee praised referees for improved performance but noted instances of wrong calls and misinterpretation of the Laws of the Game. The NFF emphasized the importance of fairness, equity, and standard interpretation of the 2026 Laws of the Game, stating that any referee who disregards these guidelines will be dismissed and prosecuted. The federation also warned that misconduct could lead to legal action.
