NPS Introduces New Mandatory Training for Police to Curb Corruption

The Kenyan National Police Service (NPS) is set to introduce mandatory ethics and integrity training to combat corruption among officers and their commanders. Two new modules, developed by the National Criminal Investigations Academy (NCIA), will focus on general responsibilities and supervisory duties. Supported by the European Union, EACC, and UNODC, the modules will be incorporated into all police training institutions after validation, aiming to embed ethics into police education and prevent corruption vulnerabilities.
