NRC calls for stronger rail links to ports

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has called for better integration of rail infrastructure with ports to enhance the efficiency of the country's freight and logistics system. Managing Director Dr. Kayode Opeifa emphasized that maritime reforms and deep seaports would yield limited benefits without effective rail connectivity. He announced that the Kaduna-Kano rail corridor is nearing completion, with new lines planned to connect several ports, including Lekki Deep Sea Port and Tin Can Island Port.
