NSCIA alleges religious bias in El-Rufai prosecution

The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) has raised concerns about religious bias in the prosecution of former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai. In a statement, NSCIA Secretary-General Prof Is-haq Oloyede noted that the council's position changed due to recent developments, urging the federal government and judiciary to prevent the weaponization of public institutions for sectarian purposes. The NSCIA also called on the public to refrain from comments that could prejudice El-Rufai's fair trial.
