The number of profit warnings issued by companies listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange has reached eight in the current financial year, reflecting a tough economic environment. Nairobi Business Venture (NBV) recently announced an anticipated earnings decline of at least 25% for the year ending March 2026, with a net profit expected to be below Sh24.1 million. Other companies, including CIC Insurance and Kenya Airways, have also reported significant profit declines.
