NSSF to Process Pension Claims in 24 Hours Starting Next Year, CS Mutua Announces

The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) will process pension claims within 24 hours starting next year, announced Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua. Currently, claims take an average of 10 to 18 days to process, but digital upgrades, including a mobile app, are being implemented to meet this goal. During Labour Day celebrations in Vihiga, COTU-K leader Francis Atwoli also called for reforms to increase worker representation on the NSSF board.
