'Nutrition central to human capital development' - Gov Sani

Governor Uba Sani emphasizes nutrition as a vital part of his administration’s development agenda, crucial for helping children reach their full potential. Deputy Governor Dr Hadiza Balarabe, speaking at the Women In Power Conference 2026 where she was recognized as a Kaduna State Nutrition Champion, highlighted achievements such as 82% Vitamin A supplementation coverage and treatment of over 30,000 children for severe acute malnutrition in 2025. She stressed the importance of sustained investment, effective policies, and the new Kaduna State Food and Nutrition Policy (2026–2030) to consolidate progress and ensure nutrition is integrated into government planning and budgeting.
