The City of Cape Town’s Nyanga customer service centre will close permanently at the end of October 2026. The City cited a significant decline in visits, with some days recording no customers, as well as violence and unrest in the surrounding area that have raised safety concerns for staff and the public. Residents can seek in-person assistance at the Fezeka office, about 3.6km away, or use the City’s online booking and payment services. The employee currently based in Nyanga will be redeployed to Fezeka.
