O. Ndiaye, alias 'Laye Lama', is on trial before the Criminal Chamber of Guédiawaye for rape of a minor. He had the child baptised with his mother's name and paid 150,000 FCFA through his brother, acts seen as recognition of paternity. In court, he denies any relationship with the victim B. Sèye, 14, and claims he agreed to have the child bear his name so that the child would know his father. The events occurred in May 2023 in Yeumbeul.
