Obala: Singer suspected of ordering the murder of her pastor partner

Obala gendarmes arrested a singer suspected of playing a role in the killing of her partner, a pastor. The investigation also led to the arrest of Victor B., 39, on October 22, 2026, after he used the victim’s phone to contact a niece of the deceased. Investigators say he reportedly admitted receiving an advance of 5,000 CFA francs out of a promised total of 170,000 CFA francs to take part in the crime, and later reselling the pastor’s phone. Gendarmes are continuing their investigation, and both suspects are expected to appear before the prosecutor in Monatélé.
