Obituary: Hélène Arley, Iconic Voice of Radio Senegal, Passes Away at 93

Hélène Arley, a pioneer of Senegalese public broadcasting and a familiar voice on Radio Senegal’s 10 PM news, passed away at 93. She was known for hosting the news program and « Le Disque des auditeurs », and for her collaborations with El Hadji Mansour Sow. Her work was recognized with an honorary diploma from the International Federation of Francophone Press. She was also the sister of Elisabeth Ndiaye, a prominent figure in Senegalese television, both having significantly contributed to the country's public media history.
