The accident occurred around 9:20 PM on the way back, involving a vehicle carrying Sow, the director of Ourossogui Hospital, the director of Agnam Hospital, and their driver. Sow, appointed in March 2025, was taken to Agnam Hospital, while the Ourossogui director was seriously injured and evacuated for treatment. The accident was likely caused by an attempt to avoid an animal on the road, a common hazard in the region.
