Oborevwori assures residents of peaceful elections

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori assured residents that elections would be peaceful, free and fair at an electoral security stakeholders’ meeting held Wednesday in Asaba and organised by INEC. Represented by Senior Political Adviser Sen. Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, he urged parties to campaign lawfully and without intimidation, warning that violations would be punished. Police Commissioner Samuel Erale said security agencies would monitor political activities and enforce electoral laws before, during and after the elections. Both officials called on political parties and other stakeholders to work together to prevent violence.
