ODM Demands Answers from Uhuru After Claims Raila Won 2022 Election

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has demanded answers from former President Uhuru Kenyatta after he claimed that the late party leader Raila Odinga won the 2022 presidential election. ODM questioned why Uhuru disclosed his position more than four years after the election and why he did not speak out during the alleged electoral injustices, especially considering the transfer of power to William Ruto. Raila’s family, including his brother Omondi Oginga, expressed displeasure with Uhuru’s decision to revisit the election, urging him to allow the family to mourn Raila, who died in October 2025. Uhuru reiterated his belief that Raila won the election during a Jubilee Party meeting, despite official results declaring Ruto the winner and the Supreme Court upholding Ruto’s victory.
