ODM Sets October 2 for Nationwide Candle-Lighting Tribute to Raila

The ODM party has announced October 2 as a nationwide day of remembrance with a candle-lighting tribute to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who died in October 2025. ODM Chairperson Gladys Wanga urged Kenyans to participate at 6 pm, regardless of location, to honor Raila, who passed away at age 80 in India after a cardiac arrest. Raila's death marked the end of a decades-long political career, and the party has planned various activities throughout October to commemorate him.
