OFFICIAL: Navétanes suspended across the Dakar region from October 26 (communiqué)

Dakar Governor Ousmane Kane signed an order on October 23, 2026, suspending Navétanes football matches and directly related activities from Monday, October 26, until further notice. The suspension applies throughout the Dakar region. The order cites the deployment of security forces for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, as well as the risk of clashes between supporters and damage to property. Prefects in Dakar, Pikine, Guédiawaye, Rufisque and Keur Massar are responsible for enforcing the measure with local authorities, security forces and Navétanes organizers.
