Ogoni Oil Resumption: Tinubu Misled on the True Situation, Says SSRG

Joseph Ambakaderimo, convener of the South-South Reawakening Group (SSRG), says President Bola Tinubu is not receiving accurate information about Ogoniland, potentially delaying the planned return of oil production. He urged the federal government to address Ogoni concerns and consider key demands in the Ogoni Bill of Rights before resuming exploration. On the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, he defended the original route, saying modern engineering can overcome difficult terrain. He called for 50,000 barrels of crude oil per day to be allocated to fund the project.
