Ogun 2027: Adebutu will win, running mate insists

Hajia Yemi Sowunmi-Kolapo, the PDP’s deputy governorship candidate in Ogun State for the 2027 election, said Ladi Adebutu would win. She spoke after leaders of the Nawair-ud-deen Society in Abeokuta offered prayers and support for the candidates. Kolapo said the disputed omission from an INEC-published list was unintentional and dismissed APC members’ celebrations as a sign of panic. She said the PDP’s Itura De mandate would prioritise residents’ welfare and give local governments greater financial autonomy.
