Ogun 2027: I never bought a PDP nomination form, says alleged aspirant, accusing APC chieftains

Topa Olusegun Peter, a traditional chief and PDP chieftain in Ogun State, says his name was used without his consent to portray him as a 2027 governorship aspirant. He accuses Ramoni Adebolu, the APC chairman in Imeko-Afon, and other party figures of arranging the move after he rejected a political offer. Peter denies buying a nomination form or authorising lawyer Anderson Asemota to petition INEC, and calls for an investigation and protection for his family. He reaffirmed his loyalty to the PDP and said Ladi Adebutu emerged as the party’s sole candidate at its May 24, 2026 primary.

Di Rupo said Congolese lives deserve the same attention as Ukrainian lives and warned that violence could worsen, particularly after Joseph Kabila announced he would lead the Front for the Refoundation of the Nation, described as incorporating the Rwanda-backed M23.
